How to Train Your Dragon: Arena Spectacular is a live show adaptation of the 2010 movie How to Train Your Dragon. The show is produced in partnership with Global Creatures which is the same team behind the 2007 arena show Walking with Dinosaurs: Arena Spectacular. The show was supposed to make it's premier in Melbourne, Australia on March 2nd, 2012, but due to technical difficulties it had to be cancelled and instead premiered on March 3rd, 2012.
The show is directed by Nigel Jamieson and features music from John Powell and the song "Tornado" by Jonsi. It features 24 animatronic dragons of 10 different categories: Deadly Nadder, Gronckle, Monstrous Nightmare, Zippleback, Night Fury, Red Death, Skirll, Stinger, Kite Dragon, and Egg Biter. The show also includes a mostly Australian and American cast with the main roles of Hiccup and Astrid shared by two different actors, such as Rarmian Newton and Riley Miner sharing the role of Hiccup and Sarah McCreanor and Gemma Nguyen sharing the role of Astrid.
Although the show started touring in Australia from March 2012 to May 2012, it's confirmed to come to America and tour across the country (as well as Canada) in June 2012 to well into 2013. (See the released tour dates for 2012.)

Description:
The story takes us through the journey of a teenage Viking named Hiccup who is the son of the chief but hardly as ruthless as his village would like. After a stroke of good fate happens and Hiccup shoots down a Night Fury--the most feared of all the dragons--he finds not only that couldn't kill the dragon, but also that it's handicapped by missing a tail fin due to his actions.
Using the knowledge he obtains by befriending the dragon he now calls Toothless, Hiccup must keep his double life, even when his sudden success in dragon training earns the suspicions of Astrid, as well as save both their worlds from the unexpected dangers that keep them both locked in their lies.
