Bucket and Mulch

Local Viking fisherman and mostly blissfully oblivious and cheerful introduced in Riders of Berk. Bucket and Mulch are the main fishers who collect food for the winter.

Mulch tends to be the more 'in tune' one of the two, doing most of the intelligent talking and negotiations with Stoick on their work as fisherman. He also acts  as a nagging friend to Bucket sometimes unfairly. He seems to take slight advantage of Bucket's less than aware personality and mostly puts his own shortcomings on Bucket as well as simply telling him he did things that aren't true--knowing that Bucket will just go along with it. Still, Mulch is always seen with Bucket and they even seem to live together. Their relationship isn't known, but it's assumed their close friends or brothers.

Bucket, on the other hand, is rather dimwitted which is probably a result of the cracked skull he received from a dragon years ago. Now he wears a bucket over his head to protect and hide his injury, but it's clear that the result left him rather stupid. He relies on Mulch to keep him in check on what's going on even though Mulch sometimes takes advantage of his wistfulness. The main problem with Bucket seems to be his memory, he's so used to forgetting things he often just goes along with whatever people say he does...usually asking if he "enjoyed it" or not.
He also has a small quirk in which every time his bucket gets tight on his head, there's a bad storm coming to Berk. "The tighter the bucket the badder the storm".
