A dragon that's been thought of to be almost mythical to Vikings, the Boneknapper is like a hermit crab constantly getting a new shell as they collect the bones of dead dragons and use to to make an exo-skeletal protective armor. They're fierce and possessive and have a mighty roar, but they can't roar until they have a complete bone armor.

- Gobber has apparently been chased down by a Boneknapper his whole life, as explained in the short film Legend of the Boneknapper Dragon.
