The female of the hotheaded twins in the Viking teens who lives on Berk.
Role in the Franchise:
Ruffnut is the first twin to her brother Tuffnut and is the same as him in their violent and ready-to-fight kind of attitude. Though her and her brother bicker constantly, they’re seen to hang out most of the time with Snotlout.
In Twinsanity Ruffnut seemed to have issues with sharing things with Tuffnut--though her side of the story was never gone in depth--it's assumed that she felt similar to Tuffnut in the respects that they share everything and she wanted just one thing to be her's as she even shares her Zippleback--Barf and Belch--with Tuffnut, though she's seen to ride Barf.

Personality:
Even though she and her brother have similar personalities Ruffnut seems to be slightly more reserved than her brother. She’s less rude, and less sarcastic than her brother, but still has no problem calling someone an “idiot” when she chooses to and is more perceptive that her brother is as displayed in Riders of Berk and most times, a little quieter.
She and her brother seem to enjoy odd activities that mostly involved causing physical harm to Tuffnut. Ruffnut never passes up a chance to hurt her brother and, oddly, Tuffnut never passes up a chance to get hurt.
Even though she and her brother have similar personalities Ruffnut seems to be slightly more reserved than her brother. Ruffnut has displayed romantic interest in Hiccup in the movie saying that he was crazy and that she “liked that”. But, obviously she lost Hiccup’s affections to Astrid, and doesn't seem to saddened by it post-movie.
Abilities:
Not much of Ruffnut’s abilities are known at the moment, but it’s assumed that she can wield the double sided spear she carries during Dragon Training in the first movie.
Appearance:
Ruffnut, like Astrid, has a very slim figure compared to most Viking women. She has long blonde hair which she keeps in a total of five braids (two on the side, one in the back, and two more from the top sides of her head), and blue eyes. She’s seen wearing a blue sleeveless tunic, with a waist belt, a brown skirt, a sleeveless vest, blue leggings, fur boots, wrapped arm bands, and a horned Viking Helmet. She also wears a necklace with a dragon tooth on it, which is similar to the necklace Tuffnut wears
