The male of the hotheaded twins in the Viking teens, who lives on Berk.
Role in the Franchise:
Tuffnut is the second twin to his sister Ruffnut and the two share a similar violent and ready-to-fight personality. He bickers constantly with his sister but the two are always seen together hanging out together or with Snotlout.
He doesn’t seem to have any romantic interest in anyone, but he does seem to have a close friendship with Snotlout.
In the episode Twinsanity Tuffnut expressed his sadness in having to share everything with his sister, saying that they even share a spoon and a dish. Though of course, he learned that even being sick of his sister can't really tear them apart.

He shares his Zippleback --Barf and Belch--with Ruffnut and is seen riding Belch.
Personality:
Although Tuffnut and his sister share a similar personality, he seems to be the blunter one of the two. He always speaks his mind no matter how rude his thoughts are and is easier to make fun of someone.
In Riders of Berk, he's portrayed as, for lack of better terms, the dumber twin, and doesn't pick up on words and situations as easily as his sister does. He also seems to be a bit of a masochist, taking extreme pleasure when pain is inflicted on him--usually issued out by his sister--such as taking rocks or punches to face (he likes seeing stars).
Despite Tuffnut's rather dim personality, he does have moments where he gets depressed, and apparently goes to his "dark soggy place", as seen in Twinsanity, when he gets like that....claiming he goes there to "not cry".
Abilities:
Not much is known about Tuffnut’s abilities, but it’s assumed he can wield the double sided spear he used during Dragon Training in the first movie.
Appearance:
Tuffnut shares the slim stature of his twin sister Ruffnut, but he isn’t mocked for being skinny like Hiccup is for whatever reason. He has long, blonde hair that seems to be dread locked. He wears a grey, sleeveless tunic, a brown waist sash, dark pants, fur boots, wrapped wrist bands, a brown, fur, sleeveless vest, and a horned Viking helmet. He also wears a necklace with a dragon tooth on it similar to Ruffnut’s.
